Publicly Speaking
Number 16:28-34 (KJV)
Then Moses said, "This is how you will know
that the LORD has sent me to do all these things
and that it was not my idea: If these men die a natural
death and experience only what usually happens to men, then the LORD
has not sent me. But if the LORD brings about something
totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with
everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the
grave, then you will know that these men have treated the LORD with
contempt." As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground
under them split apart and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed
them, with their households and all Korah's men and all their
possessions. They went down alive into the grave, with everything they
owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone
from the community. At their cries, all the Israelites around them
fled, shouting, "The earth is going to swallow us too!"

Good Friday the 13th
Matthew 28 (NIV)
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary
Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent
earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the
tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like
lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of
him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women,
"Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was
crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the
place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: `He has risen
from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see
him.' Now I have told you." So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid
yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met
them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped
him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to
go to Galilee; there they will see me." While the women were on their way,
some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests
everything that had happened. When the chief priests had met with the
elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money,
telling them, "You are to say, `His disciples came during the night and
stole him away while we were asleep.' If this report gets to the governor,
we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." So the soldiers took the
money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely
circulated among the Jews to this very day. Then the eleven disciples went
to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw
him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and
said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the
very end of the age".

Free for Lunch?
Matthew 25:34-46 (KJV)
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an
hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Me, Teja, Twenty One
Ecclesiastes
11:8-10 (English-NIV)
However
many years a man may live, let him enjoy them all.
But let him remember the days of darkness, for they will be
many. Everything to come is meaningless.
Be happy, young man, while you are young, and let your heart
give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your
heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things
God will bring you to judgment.
So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the
troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless.
